Meet Aidan Sayers
Everything about Aidan Sayers’ first few hours of life in Talbot County was rushed. He arrived early on December 14, 2008, 12 weeks before his due date. According to his mom, Jaime, “every second counted to save our son.” Jaime’s husband, Chris, barely got a glimpse of Aidan before the baby was rushed from the delivery room to a waiting helicopter, which took him to Baltimore.
Jaime was finally able to hold Aidan the next day. But that would be the last time until Christmas Day. For the first two months of his life, Aidan struggled to survive and thrive in the NICU.
Aidan finally went home after 66 days in the NICU, a month before his original due date. His parents thank the March of Dimes and the staffs at The Memorial Hospital in Easton and Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore for Aidan, who is now a happy, healthy toddler.
The March of Dimes wants to thank the Sayers for agreeing to serve at the 2011 Eastern Shore ambassador family and share their story, help raise awareness of premature birth and encourage residents and companies to participate in March for Babies. We hope Aidan has a very special birthday!!!

What a wonderful feeling it is to go to a website such as the March of Dimes, and see your beautiful, miracle son's picture! We are truly honored, and proud of Aidan, that he has been chosen to the be Eastern Shore of Maryland's ambassador child. With our help, Aidan will help other babies born too soon!
